Roadtrip #1, Atlantic City!
Two weeks before our voyage to the Yuctan we took an unexpected long weekend in Atlantic City. Unfortunatly our reason for travel was not a postive one, but we were able to make lemonade anyway.

Our first night there and we found Chelsea's 2. The store front was worn and looked like it had been there longer than most of the pristine commercial buildings in the area, so we assumed it had to be good. Their "Big Dog" slice for $2.79 was twice the size of a normal slice locally. Not to mention the plethora of spices lined across the counter.
We went back for seconds before we hit the road Sunday night, adding pepperoni and black olives this time. Bonus! Tahitian Treat fruit punch which has been absent in Alb for a *long* time.We ventured out Saturday for a stroll off of Atlantic Ave. Beginning at 'The Walk', the outlet shopping district in the city.
We browsed Converse, BCBG, Brooks Brothers, Clark's and more. It was slightly torturous... so we headed up to Bally's..
..making our way to the boardwalk which runs behind the main strip of major casino's and hotels.. ..such as a $2 happy hour all day at Bally's Wild West....and Ceaser's, where we turned $2 into $20..
We stayed in Park Lane, the white building next to Madison Hotel.. quite fitting if you know our current residence.
The driveway entrance had old signage from The Sands which wasn't illuminated but still in fairly good condition. We missed the photo-op for that but got another shot of our timeshare with the Taj Mahal and Resorts resorts in the background. Here's a short video of the view from our room. You can see the ferris-wheel at the boardwalk, the Showboat and some of the other locations mentioned above.
Here's a short clip as you enter the casino from the boardwalk entrance.
Not sexy nude shows..
..if you've got a thing for Lorrain from Mad TV I guess..
Night shot of Ceasers and the Trump Plaza before we left
